Sleep & Dogs: Coveted Quiet Time
Owning a dog boarding business in my home and being a light sleeper DOES NOT mix well. Sleep is my very favorite time of day and I’m a mess without it. So, for me sleep is a coveted quiet time where I can refresh and start the day in a happy mood. To get to that much needed state I have three things I will not live without!
First, is my Loop Earplugs! These babies bring the noise level down to 16 SNR (quiet) and allow me to sleep. The actual loop part sticks nicely in the cavity of the ear making them semi comfortable to wear when sleeping!
Now when I say semi I know you’re thinking, how do you get a restful nights sleep with semi??? You don’t! You add an earring pillow to sleep on so you don’t have the earplug pushing into your ear and “magically” you’re comfy, cozy and sleeping like a baby!
And then my final step to making a peaceful night sleep is a noise machine to give the calming vibes so I sleep soundly through the night. It has the added benefit of the pups not hearing random bumps in the night to react too, since they sleep as light as I do!
I know it’s a lot. It takes a lot to sleep with a house full of dogs. There’s always someone up walking around…clickity clack or a dog who hears a ghost at the door and must bark. It’s never ending. Hopefully you find something to help you get a solid night’s sleep!
